Awesome pasta and atmosphere,,,we sat outside to people watch and enjoy the sun ,,,great wine ,,,,loved the meat ravioli with meat sauce,,,tried the sausage but I would have preferred it spicier and it seemed dried out ,,,loved the gelato and received great service,,,thank you !!

Better pick the XL size patty with brioche bread. Very good fries on the side. A good spot for burgers something rare to find in LA.Really nice place with great music and good prices. The waitress who served us was very kind and nice; when we finished our drinks she took our glasses back and filled them again but for free.tasty burger!! try it and you never forget it!

Gnocchi are the best in North Beach, perfectly soft and pillowy, they melt in your mouth. Pistachio cream sauce takes them to the next level, you wont be disappointed!

The U.S. Restaurant has always been known as the place to enjoy Italian food in an atmosphere that felt just like nonna’s house on a Sunday afternoon. Grandparents and kids alike have enjoyed its family style atmosphere throughout the years and it was common for the staff to greet customers by name when they walked through the door. It has always been the neighborhood’s kitchen where everyone would see someone they knew. There are many things that are new at the new location a few blocks down the street, but its nice to see that the experience remains the same. Love this place.

We enjoyed our Sunday night dinner at the Original US Restaurant while traveling in San Francisco, recently. My spouse ordered the lasagna, and I ordered the Diavolo Pizza. Homemade goodness. I also got a salad with very fresh ingredients and a light, delicious homemade dressing. We recommend this restaurant and hope to return when we visit again.

Tasty food! Would have appreciated a changing table in the bathrooms, but the history of the place was neat. Excellent margherita pizza.

Italian food and the setting at this place is super good. Arrived at five, it wasn't busy. Bring your appetite because portions are filling. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I liked.

I have been a customer since 1969 and they are just as good now as before...good authentic italian cuisine. This is the real deal italian.

Love this place. A must every time we come to San Francisco. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Food is delicious. One of my favorite plates is the pappardelli a la boscaiola with fresh made pasta. Not too expensive compared to other restaurants around.

Good food and great service. The restaurant is based in an old building. The ceiling has the great painting which is incredible. Very Italian delicious food even in little Italy.

One of the oldest & best Italian restaurants in SF, the fish & pastas are amazing. My 6 month old Grand nephew managed to gum half a bowl of gnocchi w/pesto 👶 (making it 72 foods he's enjoyed so far). Wonderful SF history & photos cover the walls. The wait staff are very welcoming & knowledgeable with excellent advice about wine & food pairings. While this part of the city can be a traffic nightmare, easy parking is available nearby at the SF Metro parking garage. Definitely make a reservation & walk off the calories exploring afterwards 👍.

Atmosphere is wonderful and food is delicious! Thought the Thursday daily special of corned beef and cabbage was still on the menu...it wasn't, however I tried the roasted eggplant sandwich and it is now one of my favorites!

Most places serve it well done no matter how you order it but (()) got it perfect.The food was excellent and the staff were excellent . A very friendly restaurant , great service , good quality produce and I was always greeted with a smile. Hey the steak is really one the the best.

My favorite from the old location was the half spaghetti and half ravioli and it is still on the menu and delicious. Prices are higher and the place now has white table cloths and waiters but the waitresses that worked at the former location were so down to earth that you could be eating with an Italian family in Italy. Still serves nice fare but at a steeper price.

Lovely visit for evening dinner. Was surprised this restaurant was not that busy, as food and service are outstanding. I had seafood linguine which was delicious and my partner had pizza. Portions were great, managed to save save some room for pudding. Glad I did the special was panna cotta,this was lovely partner enjoyed his tiramisu too. Would highly recommended this wonderful place.. well done!!

My school took a trip to San Francisco and during the 4 day trip we went to the U.S Restaurant 3 times. The staff is friendly and understanding giving us a sense of home away from home. 100% recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area!!

I work in the neighborhood and have come here several times with various co-workers. Everything I have ever eaten here has been delicious and amazing. The menu is huge and has an astounding variety of items - breakfasts, BBQ, sandwiches, burgers, salads, REALLY GOOD SALADS, flat bread pizza, Mac & Cheese and everything tastes FRESH. Tastes better than their pictures look.I don't drink, but their cocktails look really fun. Bring your friends, there's something for everyone.

Original U.S. Restaurant is a great authentic Italian restaurant. Accommodating traditional Italian menu are pricey but worth to be paid for.The staff is very friendly and I love their Italian pasta. Gotta be back here again with my family. Perfect place to eat comfy atmosphere.

My boyfriend had the oysters and was very pleased. Everything on the Happy Hour menu is $7 - so we got a couple different things and would recommend them all. We got the Pigs in a Blanket (about 8 finger sized), Pretzel Bites (3 small pretzels with AMAZING queso dip), Pepperoni Pizza which is definitely the perfect size for one person and then Buffalo Wings (about 6!). We ended our evening with the Bread Pudding dessert and WOWZA!!! If you have any space left, their desserts are worth it. Everything about Hearthstone is 10/10 and I already have plans to return!

Not like the old days :-( Been going to U.S. Restaurant since the 60's. Sadly it's not the same place since the original family ran it. After they passed away, Alberto and Gaspar were great but Gaspar had to leave the business. On this visit, the muscles were not fresh. The owner was very kind and gave us a credit. The pizza and cutlet were tasty.

Service to be reviewed. No water was brought. Red wine was Really hot.

I had an amazing experience here!! The food was great, especially the Alfredo!! The service was excellent! The wait staff was very kind and welcoming! A special shout-out to Dominico who made this such a fun atmosphere!! I can't wait to come back, and I highly recommend eating here!

The only restaurant worth eating at in Little Italy. It is true authentic Sicilian food! Family owned, the service is wonderful (which is hard to come by in SF) and a must eat at restaurant! Try the capriccio de polipo and the pastas!

This is our second time there and we have always been treated nice. Waiters are very helpful. Went there with no reservations and we got a table. Food is delicious! Small place but very romantic.
